PLIMMERTON AND TAURANGA IN THE LEAD By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. January 6. Two crews n the 1938 Cornwell Cup contest now have two wins in hand, as PUmmerton and Tauranga won another race each at PUmmerton to-day, and the competition has now reached an interesting position. Both races were sailed in a stiff breeze out of the northwest and were marked by fine sailing. Tauranga overcame difficulties in both races and their performance in the morning race, when they drew from almost last to second four seconds behind the winning boat, PUmmerton was exceedingly good. Paremata, Wellington and Auckland each have a win, and the first crew to notch three wins will gain the trophy.
