THERMOMETER TOUCHES 82 DEGREES By Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, January 5. Tuesday proved the hottest day of summer, the thermometer registering 82 degrees. After a good rain last night, the weather broke fine and clear this morning. The Christmas and New Year holiday fixtures were carried out under perfect summer conditions. Disappointment is general at the abandoning of the Centaurus flight.
