WEDDING
HUMM—LYTHGOE The wedding of Leslie Ronald, second son of Mr and Mrs William Humm (Geraldine), and Alice Cecelia Lorraine, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs William Lythgoe (Rolleston Street), took place at Chalmers Presbyterian Church which had been decorated with arum lilies, sweet peas and maiden hair fern for the occasion. The Rev. Milburn Stewart officiated and Mr D. Blair was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained frock of ivory satin made on close fitting lines. The lace sleeves were fully puffed at the shoulder line, narrowing from the elbow to form a point over the hands. The lace yoke of the bodice was finished with tiny satin buttons. Her tulle veil was arranged from a halo of orange blossom buds and she carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. Miss Frances Lythgoe attended her sister wearing a corn-flower blue faconne cloque frock finished with a shoulder spray of pink flowers. Her halo bandeau > was composed of blue and pink flowers and silver leaves. Mr C. R. Humm, brother of the bridegroom was best man. At a reception held at the Stafford tearooms, the tables were decorated with pink poppies and sweet peas. Mrs Lythgoe wore a Royal blue ripple moracain frock finished with a shoulder spray of tiny apricot roses. Her hat was of blue seisal straw. Mrs Humm wore a black floral ensemble and a black hat, and she carried a posy of red roses. For travelling the bride wore a blue tailored suit with a beige straw hat.
