McGillivray, T'»lds Superintendent of the Department of Agriculture in Canterbury and Westland, stating that he could not visit Geraldine to give a lecture at present. He would be pleased to give one in the autumn. Mr T. D. Burnett, M.P., advised that he was in touch with the Minister for Transport (the Hon. R. Semple), regarding the licensing of farmers’ lorries and trailers. A report on a conference that had been held at Winchester was given by Mr W. S. Crotty. He intimated that a field day had been arranged in the Temuka district for December 11. The programme wov'd include demonstrations and lectures, and a visit to the Levels irrigation scheme.
