It is understood that Sir Edwrrd Beatty (chairman of the Canadian Pacific Railway) through whom the announcement probably will be made, has confided to his friends that the plans have been completed down to th' smallest detail, and the contracts for the various divisions of the construction work are ready for the. signature of the Canadian, Australian and N' v Zealand line. The agents, moreover, have already made purchases of large consignments of special equipmenl ta the United States, for the installation of th' liners, and the representatives of the line are ascertaining 1 -.ffic possibilities and ire arranging fi ture alignments on bookings throughout the United States.
