SEQUEL TO STRIKES
DAMAGES AGAINST MINERS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 22. Damages ranging from 10/- to £3 each was awarded at Doncaster against 1835 miners for a breach of contract arising from lightning strikes in respect of 63 men. It was stated that they had objected to the owners moving the lamproom closer to the coal face, simplifying the working of the colliery. The arrangement Inconvenienced no one, and In consequence of strikes, of which there had been 57 yearly, the company lost an output of 13,600 tons.
