CATHOLIC BAZAAR

CONCLUDING SESSION The fourth and final night of the Catholic Bazaar was hel din St. Patrick’s Hall last night. Stalls and side shows did a thriving business and barely coped with the demands made upon them by an enthusiastic attendance. The function was an unqualified success, the four sessions being well attended. Interest in the final proceedings was sustained until a late hour last night. A feature of the entertainment was the clever dancing of Miss Gordon’s pupils, whose efforts were warmly applauded. The series of tug-of-war contests concluded with a special pull among the Empire, Grosvenor and Carlton Hotels, which resulted as follows: Empire Hotel beat Grosvenor Hotel, and Carlton Hotel beat the Empire Hotel. Other results were: Empire defeated Old Bank; Celtic defeated Wattie Shea; Grosvenor won by default from Club; Carlton defeated Excelsior.
