Australia defeated America in a women’s tennis test by three rvbbers, eight sets, eighty-two games, to two rubbers, six sets, seventy-three games. To-day's scores were:— Mrs Westacott (Australia) defeated Miss Dorothy Workman (America), 6-3, 6-3. Miss Mary Hardcastle (Australia) lost to Miss Dorothy Bundy (America), 6-3, 4-6, 6-8. The doubles match between Mrs Westacott and Miss Hardcastle versus Misses Workman and Bundy was abandoned when the score was 6-4, 4-6, 8-5, 5-5.
