QUESTION OF BOUNDARIES By Telegraph—Presf Association AUCKLAND, November 22. The Commission appointed by the Government to hear evidence for the purpose of defining the boundaries of the proposed Auckland metropolitan drainage district, commenced its sitting to-day in the Town Hall. The Commission is: Chairman, Sir Francis Frazer, Mr J. W. Heenan (Undersecretary of Internal Affairs), and Dr H. M. Watt (Director-General of Health). There is a large array of counsel watching the various interests. The engineer to the Drainage Board (Mr H. H. Watkins), and the city solicitor (Mr J. Stanton), on behalf of the Board, pointed out the comprehensive nature of the proposed drainage scheme. For the metropolitan area, the estimated cost was £1,500,000 with the treatment plant and outfall at Brown’s Island, in the Waitemata harbour.
