ST. JOHN’S LADIES’ GUILD The final meeting of the St. John’s Guild was held on Friday afternoon, the Rev. L. A. Barnes presiding. Tile secretary, Mrs J. Philp, presented the balance-sheet of the recent Coronation Fair, which showed a credit of £2//19/7. There was still a small sum to come In. The vicar congratulated the members of the Guild on the financial results of the function and he thanked all those who had worked so hard during the last few months. It was decided to vote £l5 to the mission fund, to hand £lO to the vestry towards painting the Sunday School, and to bank the balance. The secretary was authorised to write and thank Canon J. F. Coursey and Mrs Coursey, Mesdames W. Buchan, J. O. J. Oliver, J. Reid and A. G. Williams for their assistance.
