GOLD STOCKS
INCREASES IN FRANCE PARIS, November 19. Despite the increase in the Bank of France, gold stocks increased by £21,000,000 for the seven days ended November 11, largely due to the reinflux of fugitive capital.
"Epoque" states that M. Bonnet is negotiating with Dutch financiers for a short term loan to assist France to repay £40,000,000 to Britain. It is understood that the object of the loan is to obviate the necessity of weakening the gold reserves.
