MAN MAULED
NOTORIOUS LION AGAIN LONDON, November 19. “Freddie,” the lion, still billed as a “man eater,” which made history by causing the death of the former Rector of Stiffkey, on August 3, mauled a man who entered his cage for a bet during an exhibition at Manchester. The man was in the cage 10 minutes, and was just leaving, when “Freddie,” who had been sitting quietly in a corner, sprang at him and clawed his arm. The man jumped Tor the door and escaped.
