WAR ON NARCOTICS
TENACITY OF LAW IN UNITED STATES United Press Association-By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 21, 7.0 pun.) NEW YORK, November 20. Two illustrations ot the tenacity ot the law are supplied by the Indictment of 23 whites and Chinese on charges of dealing in narcotics, and also by the arrest of four men in connection with the murder of a policeman in New York in 1931.
The Narcotics Investigation is claimed to have smashed three interlocking rings, with a yearly turnover of a million dollars.
The policeman was shot dead by a hold-up gang and the case was recently revived, after the giving of inform ’tion to the police. One of the men, after making aa alleged confession, attempted to commit suicide.
