SUDDEN DEATH
MR J. W. RITCHIE x>.. John William Ritchie, aged 56, died suddenly at the Opihi Reserve on Saturday evening. Mr Ritchie, who had a camp at the Opihi, left by car with relatives to spend the week-end there. He alighted from the vehicle to open a gate and dropped to the ground. Mr Ritchie, who was unmarried, was a member of the Timaru firm of Ritchie and Sons. He was a returned soldier and served with the 34th Reinforcements. An inquest will be opened at 11.30 this morning.
