SOLDIER SETTLERS
SUBSIDY ON PRODUCTION WANTED By Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, November 20. General dissatisfaction with the conditions under which they were forced to live and work their farms was expressed by returned soldier settlers at a meeting which was held yesterday under the auspices of the Invercargill Returned Soldiers’ Asscoiation. It was unanimously decided to forward a recommendation to the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association that the Government should be asked to conrider granting each soldier settler a subsidy on his production. This, it was stated, would provide '■-impensation for the disabilities men were now suffering because of their war service, and would also tend to promote greater efficiency on farms.
