CONCESSIONS TO WORKERS
IMPROVED PAY AND REAL HOLIDAYS British Official Wireless RUGBY, November 20. By two industrial agreements signed yesterdfty, 68,000 workers in the electricity supply undertakings will receive a wage advance of Sd per hour, representing, on an average an extra 3/- weekly. The miners in the Derbyshire area join the number of workers who, in recent months, have come under schemes for the provision of holiday with pay.
It is expected that a holiday fund o f £lOO,OOO yearly will provide workers with one week’s holiday with a payment of £3 for married men, and 30/for a single man, and £1 for youths.
