IKAWAI Mrs F. G. Mcßae presided over a good attendance of members at the October meeting of the Ikawai Women’s Institute. Arrangements were made for a visit to the Amo Women’s Institute. There was a discussion of details for the bay at the Show. A short and humorous debate was staged. The competitions resulted: Needlework picture, Mrs F. G. Mcßae 1, Mrs Hamilton jun. 2; etching, Miss J. Hamilton 1, Miss A. Milne 2; flowering shrubs, Mrs Brown 1, Mrs Wallace 2. CRICKET GLENAVY v. TOILERS The Waimate Cricket Sub-Associa-tion’s competitions opened on Saturday, two matches being played, one at Hook and the other at Waimate.
