LABOUR OBJECTIVE
GOOD WISHES TO AUSTRALIAN SUPPORTERS
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copvrlah* (Received October 6, 1.26 a.m.) LONDON, October 5. The British Labour Party conference at the instance of Dr Dalton decided to send a message to the Australian Labour Party expressing heartfelt desire for a decisive victory. Dr Daltcm declared: “There is high hope that labour will win the elections. The importance of victory for the labour movement, both to the Empire and world wide is obvious.” The conference then passed to debate the United Front, which Sir Stanford Cripps asserted was vital. Mr J. Clynes expressed the viewpoint of the executive replied that he was convinced any association with the communists would be fatal to the further progress of the Labour Party.
