EXECUTIVE MEETS
WEST END ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the executive of the West End Association was held on Saturday. With reference to lighting the cubicles in the baths a sub-committee consisting of Messrs H. Mayo, A. B. Stoddart and E. Howden was appointed to get in touch with the electrical engineer on the subject. , It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to the Council for the good work done, and being done in Park Lane and Rathmore Street. The president undertook to sugest to the Council the desirability of having the hedges trimmed round the Park. Mr E. A. Maxwell, who has been a member of the Association since its inception, said that owing to his having received an appointment in Dunedin he would have to resign his position. This announcement was received with regret. Several members bore testimony to the good and faithful service Mr Maxwell had rendered while a member of the Asociation and wished him and his family success in their new sphere of labour.
