NEW LEGISLATION
SECRECY OBSERVED By Telegraph—Bras? Association WELLINGTON, October 4 Although close secrecy is being maintained by the Government about the new legislation to be introduced in the House of Representatives tomorrow night, it is understood that the measure is not of a sensational nature. The Prime Minister said this evening that a Bill would be brought down, but he considered it inadvisable at that stage to disclose its provisions. Apparently some importance is attached to the legislation in that members of the Legislative Council have been recalled from their homes. Previously the Council had adjourned for about a fortnight, but now it will meet tomorrow night, thus indicating that it is the intention of the Government to have the Bill put through all its stages without delay by both Houses of Parliament.
