There had been an appreciable increase in the number of young players, and several non-playing members had considerably brightened the social side of the dub’s activities. The Saturday half-holiday had come into force in Fairlie during the year, and apart from solidifying the club, had simplified catering arrangements. Wet weather, however, had spoiled many playing days, with a result that only four competitions were finalised. Successful finalists were:—Women's singles Miss J. Seay; women's doubles, Mrs D J. Keenan and Miss J. Cadenhead; Banks mixed doubles. Miss I. Lyons anc I. Watson; men's singles, I. Watson. Friendly matches had been player under the auspices of the Tengawa Sub-Association, with the fallowins teams: Pleasant Valley. Cave, Totan Valley and Albury.. Honours broks about even. Members again successfully carried out the tbp-dresstog of the first and second courts, trat it war evident that the relaying of all the courts would be necesary to obtain a true playing surface.
