PARK LADIES’ CLUB The first annual meeting of the Park Ladies’ Bowling Club was held in the Park pavilion on Monday evening, when, despite the unfavourable weather conditions, there was a good attendance. The president, Mrs J. Murphy, who occupied the chair, manked members for their co-operation during the year and their assistance generally in placing the Club in the sound financial position it at present enjoys. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Patroness, Mrs M. Satterthwaite; president, Mrs J. Murphy; vice-presidents, Mrs Keeffe, Mrs Goddard and Mrs Toneycliffe; secretary and treasurer, Mrs A. Wyatt; sole selector, Mrs J. Murphy; delegates to the bowling centre, Mrs Newton and Mrs Wyatt.

It was decided to hold the opening day on the Tuesday following the opening of the Men’s Club.
