SMALLPOX OUTBREAK IN ABYSSINIA United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright MOMBASA, August 23. Owing to an outbreak of smallpox in Abyssinia, the refugees in camps in northern Kenya are terrified. The sufferers attempted to escape, but the police rounded them up. Doctors are preventing the spread of the disease to Kenja tribesmen. Privation is rife among the foot-sore Abyssinians, who are roaming the northern frontier seeking food and water.
