BEST AND DUNCAN SHIELDS The fifth round of the Wally Best Shield resulted as follows:—West End 386 beat Glen-iti 379, Pleasant Point 385 beat Timaru 383, Claremont 382 beat Fire Brigade (by default). The results of the Duncan Shield W ere:—Washdyke (handicap 20) 391 beat Glen-iti (13) 377; Claremont A (15) 397 beat Fire Brigade (24) 390. Glen-iti with two losses drops out. The draw for the sixth round is:— Fire Brigade v. Pleasant Point B. Washdyke v. Claremont A.
