NATIVES MISSING
LOSSES IN RABAUL ERUPTION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received July 16, 11.50 p.m.) NEW GUINEA, July 16. The Administration reveals that 424 natives, adults and children of both sexes, have been missing since the volcanic eruption at Rabaul. It is feared that a majority are dead. About 50 bodies have already been recovered after being buried. The remainder are believed to have been overwhelmed and lie under the debris.
