TWO DEATHS
INFANTILE PARALYSIS IN MELBOURNE United press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received July 16, 11.40 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 16. It is :.ow revealed that two deaths from Infantile paralysis have occurred in Melbourne, one on Thursday and one a fortnight ago when the outbreak was first reported. The Ormond State school where the infantile paralysis originated and other schools in the affected area arc now closed. Three more respirators have been orderd urgently for the children’s hospital to cope with possible requirements. Although it was thought that the outbreak was under control, another mild case was reported to-day in the same area.
