Flight Officer Llewellyn has abandoned the attempt on the CapeLondon record, owing to contrary winds. ” Delayed for seven hours for engine adjustments, Flying Officer Llewellyn took off for Khartoum at 5.30 a.m. (British standard time). He had until 12.50 a.m. on Thursday to break the record.
