ROYALTY IN WALES
CHEERED BY WARM-HEARTED CROWDS British Official Wireless RUGBY, July 15. Their Majesties spent the night in the Royal train, which had been shunted into a siding at a wayside station, and resumed the tour of Wales this morning. Their route by rail to Aberystwyth took them through Welsh villages, and their Majesties smilingly acknowledged cheers from the crowds at the crossings and wayside stations, past which the train travelled slowly. Standing on the spot at Carnarvon Castle where, according to tradition the infant Edward 11, was shown to the chieftains, their Majesties to-day “showed themselves to the people.” As they advanced to the edge of the platform, fanfares sounded and thousands cheered.
