Mr and Mrs E. Gamble, Wellington, are guests at the Empire. Mrs D. Barnes, Fairlie, is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs W. H. Helmore, is staying with Mrs Westmacott, Nile Street. Miss Audrey Watkins, Nile Street, has returned from a visit to Edendale. Miss F. May, who has been visiting Timaru, has returned to Geraldine. Mrs H. Gould and Mrs H. Emslle, Christchurch, are staying at the Grosvenor. Mr and Mrs J. Ewan, Mrs W. Henderson and Mrs Lambie, Invercargill, are staying at the Grosvenor. Mrs Harold Elworthy, “Craigmore,” has returned from a visit to her mother, Mrs F. S. Batchelor, Dunedin. Mrs Hector Scott, Mayfield, is staying with Mrs A. A. Scott, Bidwill Street. Mr and Mrs V. Armstrong, Trafalgar Street, will leave Timaru to-day for Ashburton before leaving for Australia. Mr and Mrs J. S. Herrow have taken up residence at “Mannington,” The Downs,, Geraldine. Mrs M. Burdon, “Parkhurst,” Woodbury, will return home this afternoon from a visit to Australia. Misses Jean McClure and Mabie Friend, Geraldine, are staying with Miss M. M. Woolley, Mt. Harper. Mrs Melville Riley, Timaru Creek, Lake Hawea, is staying with her mother, Mrs C. A. Paterson, Sefton Street. Mrs E. R. Coulter, Fairlie, is visiting Wellington for the conference of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs Wilfred Howell, “Mt. Nimrod,” Cave, will leave at th? end of the month by the Rangitlki on a trip to England. Mrs John Russell and Mrs Jasper Herrick, Hastings, arrived yesterday on a vist to their mother, Mrs F. J. Rolleston, LeCren’s Terrace. Miss Eleanor Denniston, Christchurch, who was the guest of Mrs Cotsford Burdon, Geraldine, has returned home. Miss Patsy Harper, Four Peaks, Miss Juliet Kain, Orari, an 1 ’ Miss Patricia Parker, “Holbrook," Mackenzie Country, will be debutantes at the Hunt ball next week. Mr and Mrs G. A. Glover, who have been the guests of Mrs G. Glover, Geraldine, returned to Wellington yesterday. Miss Bell (Sumner), Miss Dixon (West Ayreton), Rev. and Mrs Manson (Cust) and Mr Milner (Christchurch ), are the guests of Miss M. M. Woolley at the Mt. Harper Hostel.
