A WIN FOR EDDINGTON By Televr'n h '-ess Association WELLINGTON, July 15. In a professional boxing contest tonight, Jackie Sharpe (Australia) beat Henry Dunn (Wellington) by 7 a technical knock-out in the fifth round. The Australian was too experienced, and gradually wore his opponent down to do as he liked with him. Both scaled 9st 81b. A second professional contest between Doug Eddington (Timaru), 9st 121 b, and Stan Smith (Wellington), 9st 111 b, went the full 10 rounds, Eddington, who was the cleverer boxer, receiving the verdict. He made good use of a left to the head and body.
