NOT TO BE LIFTED At a special meeting of the Geraldine Domain Board on Wednesday evening a letter was received from Mr T. J. Paterson, secretary of the Geraldine Sports Association, stating that the Association would assist the Board financially from the profits from the forthcoming queen carnival in aid of Domain improvements. After some discussion, the Board decided not to continue with the proposal to remove the asphalt cycling track at the Domain, and it was agreed that the question of thoroughly draining the oval should be discussed at a further meeting. PERSONAL Mr C. L. Kirby, formerly of Gore, has commenced his duties as town clerk at Geraldine. Mr A. L. Jordan has returned to Christchurch.
