RISE OF FREIGHTS
WOOL SHIPMENTS AFFECTED United Press Association—By Banctrio Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 23, 10.30 p.m.) TOKIO, June 23. The Prime Minister, Mr Asahi, reports that the Japanese Lines are proposing a 30 per cent, rise in freightage on Australian wool, owing to increased Australian harbour and other local Australian charges. Increased shipbuilding costs are also announced.
