SHOPS PURCHASED
MAIN STREET TRANSACTIONS With a view to extending their premises, Messrs T. and J. Thomson have purchased the two shops on the northern side of their existing premises in Stafford Street. The two shops, which occupy a frontage of 40 feet, were owned by Messrs Flatman, Moore and Reid, but the purchase price has not been divulged. At the moment the shops are not of very great use because they are of very narrow depth, but as the purchasers own all the property at the back they will be able to convert them into attractive show windows, with access to their present premises. It is intended to commence the necessary structural alterations al.iost immediately.
