A return recently prepared for the Education Department gave some information concerning the destination of the 165 pupils who were in attendance in 1936 and did not attend in 1937, said Mr Tait. Eleven of these pupils who left the district continued their education at other schools, seven went to University and a similar number entered the Training College. Twenty-one gained positions in the Public Service. The remainder were placed as follows: Banking 2, legal office 1. commercial offices SO, trades 27, shops 35, farming 1 and Air Force 1.
