WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD By Tel ecr a ph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 23. Having completed 40 years service, Mr D. J. Gibbs, treasurer and assistantsecretary to the Wellington Harbour Board, is retiring on superannuation. His resignation, taking effect from November 30, was accepted with deep regret by the Soard to-night. Mr F. W. Reed, assistant accountant, was appointed acting secretary from December 1, and Mr N. J. Oliver, chief clerk in the head office, acting treasurer and assistant secretary. Mr F. W. Ward, of the head office, was promoted to the position of acting chief clerk and Mr J. M. Russell to the position vacated by Mr Reed. It was decided to Invite applications for the position of junior pilot to act also as relieving tugmaster and launch master.
