PORT OF TIMARU

LATEST ADVICES The Gale which arrived from the .south on Tuesday, loaded yesterday for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui and sailed last night for Lyttelton. The Walnui was the only arrival at the port yesterday. She called from Oamaru and, after taking Wellington, Napier and Gisborne shipments, departed for Lyttelton. ARRIVAL June 23. NOTES The Holmdale is set down to arrive from Oamaru to-day to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. She should get away for Lyttelton later in the night. The Port Waikato is now due from Dunedin to-morrow. After lifting Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei cargo, she will proceed via Lyttelton.

The Karetu, which is at Bluff, is expected to arrive here to-morrow to load general cargo for Sydney. She should sail the same day for Lyttelton. The Breeze is listed to load for Wellington and Wanganui at Timaru tomorrow. She is due from Dunedin and should proceed to Lyttelton that night. Mamari From London Advice has been received that the Shaw, Savin vessel Mamari left London on June 19 with general cargo for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. She is due either at Port Chalmers or Dunedin on August 4, and after discharging at New Plymouth she will proceed to Australia to load for England. The Melbourne Star On completion of her Homeward loading at Port Chalmers the Blue Star Line’s new Melbourne Star, which is visiting New Zealand for the first time, will leave to-day for Bluff, thence proceeding to Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland to fill up.
