THE VISIT OF THE LABOUR MINISTERS
To the Editor ot ” The Timaru Herald “ Sir,—l have just read the letter In to-day's “Herald” signed by “Hypercritic,” In which he shows that Messrs Savage and Armstrong meet with his disapproval. It is to be hoped that both these gentlemen will have an opportunity cf reading his long epistle, and that they will mer.d their ways. It is quite evident that neither he, nor any of his family, was on the “bread line” during those awful days of starvation that our country has been through. Reading between the lines, one places him as one of the “vested interests” party, on whom it will fall very hard to have to pay decent wages and allow the 40-hour week.—l am, etc., PRO BONO PUBLICO. Timaru March 6.
