Griffiths in the New Zealand cricket team for England. This was announced by the New Zealand Cricket Council this evening. The South Canterbury representative cricket team, which will play the West Coast to-morrow and Saturday for the Minor Associations’ Shield, left Timaru yesterday afternoon. The team as originally selected, underwent some change, three or four players being unable to make the trip. The team is perhaps the youngest which has ever represented the province.
