POLICY OPPOSED
SENSATION IN AUSTRALIAN POLITICS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 11, 12.25 a.m.) CANBERRA, March 10. Sir Henry Gullett, Minister in Charge of Trade Treaties, announced his resignation owing to a difference of opinion with his colleagues on the subject of treaties. Sir Henry's resignation came with dramatic suddenness, following sharp differences with his Cabinet colleagues, on an undisclosed point in the trade policy concerning Canada. Sir Henry left the room, wrote his resignation, and did not return to the Cabinet meeting. He failed to attend a farewell dinner to-night given to the Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons) and the Minister of Defence (Sir Archdale Parkhill) on the eve of their embarkation for England to attend the Coronation.
