IMPORTING OF RED POLLS
HEIFERS FROM AUSTRALIA Two outstanding Red Poll heifers imported for Mr J. Campbell, “Taonui,” Feilding, arrived at Wellington by the Marama. Generally considered to be the best dual purpose breed, the Red Poll is becoming increasingly popular in the Dominion, a fact which is given emphasis by recent importations of high-class sires and the number of dams booked for early delivery. The two heifers trace back to some of the best Red Poll cattle ever bred in Tasmania or on the mainland of Australia. With excellent heads, good clean noses, and of good width between the pin bones, the heifers reveal true Red Poll characteristics, and will doubtless appeal to many breeders on their good appearance alone, without their breeding.
