“WHEAT KING” OF WORLD
HONOURS TO ALBERTA For the twenty-second time in twenty-six years Canada has won major honours in wheat at the International Grain and Hay Show in Chicago. The new “wheat king" is Herman Trelle, of Wembley, Alberta, who altogether has won the medal five times—a distinction shared by one other Canadian, Dr. Seager Wheeler, of Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Since 1911 Saskatchewan has won the “wheat king" title eleven times, Alberta ten times, Manitoba once In four years the honour went to farmers in the State of Montana, but it is pointed out as not without significance that Montana borders on the Canadian provinces.
