A very pleasant evening was spent at Craigmore on Monday, when the employees gave a party as a farewell to Miss Elizabeth Elworthy before her departure for England where her marriage to Mr L. C. Rudkin will take place. The cookshop, where the party was held, looked very gay with coloured* streamers and greenery, and an excellent supper was enjoyed by all. Dancing and games kept everyone happy. During the evening Mr W. Kay, with a few well chosen words of congratulation, on behalf of the Craigmore employees, presented Miss Elworthy with a beautiful silver tea service. Mr Elworthy suitably thanked the donors on behalf of his daughter, and said how sorry he and Mrs Elworthy were that the wedding could not take place at Craigmore, but hoped it would not be long before his daughter and future husband paid a visit to New Zealand.
