Mr Baldwin has formally acknowledged the Protestant Council's letter recording satisfaction at the retention of essentially Protestant terms of the Coronation Oath, but expressing perturbation at the report that “by the grace of God” and “Defender of the Faith” being omitted from the King’s title. Mr Baldwin Informed the Protestant Alliance that there had been no change in the King's title, Defender of the Waith.
