PERSONAL Mrs J. McDonald and Miss Ileen Thornley, who have been camping at Peel Forest, have returned home. Mrs F. Pratt, who has been on a visit to the North Island, is expected home during the week-end. RAINFALL FOR FEBRUARY The rainfall for February as recorded by Mr L. Coulter, Orari Bridge, was, 2.90 inches, as compared with 7.51" inches in the same month last year. The heaviest fall was 115 points on the 13th. The following is a record of the days on which rain fell: 3rd, 12 points; Sth, 40; 10th, 21; 13th, 115; 14th, 12; 15th, 48; 23rd, 18; 24th, 17; 25th, 7 points. On Wednesday night 95 points of rain fell.
