PEON CONFESSES
KIDNAPPING AND MURDER OF ARGENTINE CHILD United Press Association—Bv ra°ovic Telegraph—Convrfeh* BUENOS AIRES, March 1. A message from Mar Del Plata states that the police said that Jose Gancedo, a peon on the Iraola family estate, who was arrested on suspicion, had confessed to the kidnapping of Eugenio Iraola, the two-year-old son of a prominent Argentine family. The confession was made to a detective disguised as a prisoner and placed in the same gaol cell. Gancedo denied that the killing of the child was intentional. The police believe that the child was strangled when gagged with part of his own clothing. A psychiatrist who examined Gancedo termed him mentally deficient.
