SEQUEL TO RAID ON OPIUM DEN By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 3 Fines totalling £255 and a sentence of three months’ Imprisonment were Imposed by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., today on 13 Chinamen arrested in a Haining Street raid at 5.20 p.m. yesterday. The keeper of the premises, Ng Kum Tong, It was stated, had been before the Court for offences connected with opium in 1931-32-33 and twice In 1934, the last time being fined £5O. Tong was sent to prison as the occupier of the premises and fined £5O and costs for being in possession of prepared opium. The other fines ranged from £25 to £l2/10/-.
