On the completion of the first Atlantic round trip since her overhaul on December 22, the Queen Mary is stated to have behaved very well. The liner reached a speed of 30.38 knots on the trip from New York to Southampton. Captain Peel said there was considerably less rolling, and vibration had practically been eliminated. “I intend to endeavour to make the passengers comfortable. There is no question of pushing the liner more than necesary.”
