BOXING DAY
SPORTING EVENTS WASHED OUT United Press Association—By xilectrle Telegraph—Copyrlgbt (Received December 27, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 26. A thunderstorm washed out the majority of the sporting events arranged for Boxing Day. A tram driver had a remarkable escape from death, when lightning struck the tram, enveloping him in flames. There were no passengers on the tram. The driver was taken to hospital, suffering from shock.
