OPENING OF JAPANESE DIET United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph-Copyright (Received December 27, 6.30 p.m.) TOKIO, December 26. In the usual formal speech of one sentence, Emperor Hirohito opened the seventieth session of the Diet. It was his first official appearance in the new Legislative Palace. All members were in full evening dress, and the diplomatic gallery was filled with brilliant uniforms. The Diet was adjourned until January 21, voting the customary address of loyalty.
