RED CROSS SOCIETY
BIG SUM TRANSFERRED TO IT By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 27. The New Zealand branch of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St; John, which came into existence In 1915, is about to transfer its remaining assets, (more than £100,000) to the joint Council of the Order and the Red Cross Society and will then dissolve. The joint Council was Inaugurated more than two years ago with the object of preventing overlapping and the promotion of co-operation in the work of both bodies. It will set up a great war funds administrative committee which will administer the remaining war fund assets and will, in doing so, seek to retain the services of those who have been active workers in the past.
